When Caitlin told me she was planning her wedding at the new Somerville Warehouse XI space, I was so excited. Union Square is one of my favorite neighborhoods in all of Boston. It has some amazing secret food spots, and you’d be surprised when you discovered there was a special little Warehouse venue down this alley. Warehouse weddings are a blank canvas which might be daunting for some. For those who have dreams of creating something different, its a dream space. Caitlin’s style and taste have been notorious amongst friends in the city so you knew her vision for the day would be exquisite.
Caitlin and Zach hired a dream team to help bring their vision to life. Elements of both of them were intertwined throughout the day. Zach, a coffee connoisseur had a set up during the after-party where they served up fresh espresso. Caitlin’s vision for her bouquet was something poisonous and the girls at Whim Events hit it out of the park.
Some of my favorite details include velvet platform shoes, flower crowns of eucalyptus for her friends, and their homemade hand-dipped table cloths and napkins. Their favorite friend married them, and we took pictures in the woods. It’s been one of my favorite June weddings to date. The energy in the air was full of joy and love that day. I think the pictures speak for themselves, especially on that dance floor. If only we all had Caitlin’s eye for detail could we begin to dream about tackling our own Somerville Warehouse wedding.
