Hello There

I am so thrilled that my work has caught your eye. My name is Madly and I would love to document this time in your lives. Let's slow life down for awhile and remember this season, what you love about the other, and have fun creating together. We'll meet up at sunrise or sunset for a couple hours, go for a hike, explore something new, adventure into the wild, take some photos of love personified, and make some art together.

About Your Session

The session we will share together will be two hours long and typically scheduled Monday through Thursdays schedules permitting, at either sunrise or sunset. As crazy as it sounds to do a sunrise session, a handful of my sessions are in the quiet hours of the early morning. It doesn’t work for every couple, but the light at that time of day is incredible, plus the streets and parks are a bit more empty so we have the world to ourselves. Whether it's hanging out on your rooftop, walking through your favorite neighborhood, running around the woods, standing under a waterfall, taking a trip to your hometown, watching the sunrise on the coast, or exploring a new landscape, I want to document this season in your lives.

I want to capture your essence, your quirks, the real you. Trust me and allow yourselves to be vulnerable. That doesn't mean you need to be someone you're not, it just means being present, owning who you are, and allowing me to step in and create meaningful work from what's happening in front of me.

Of course! We can absolutely have your animals in any of your photos. I generally recommend factoring in extra time and having a friend bring them part way into our session.

Can we bring our dogs/animals?

Yes! Traveling is one of my biggest sources of inspiration. There is no limit to the places we can go. If you've always wanted to have photos in Alaska, let's go to Alaska.

Do you travel?

Definitely! Let me know if you’d like to see a completed gallery online – I love sharing full sessions to give you an idea of what a full session is like!

Can I see a full gallery before I book?

Human connection, light, vulnerability, composition, and a fresh perspective.

What makes a good photograph?

So many of my couples tell me that they're awkward having their photo taken. My job is to make you feel comfortable, create trust beween you and I, and just let you be. Don't worry! You just need to be open to the experience and remember why you're there -- what it is that draws you to your person and celebrating that.

What is we're awkward in photos?

Portrait sessions average about 100-150 proofs.

How many photos will we recieve?

Your portraits will be posted online 3-5 weeks in an online gallery for you to share with family and friends to view and buy prints! I’ll also send download instructions for your high resolution files for you to print from, share, post on Instagram and Facebook, etc. I’d love for you to share your images, but you are only asked to please not edit or modify them or use them for commercial purposes. I also love seeing your favorites if you don’t mind tagging me @madlyweddings

How long before we see our photos?

For local clients where travel isn’t involved, I usually will recommend rescheduling if the weather is calling for 60% chance of rain or more the day before our session. At least a 24 hour notice is needed for us to make other arrangements if cancellation or a reschedule is necessary. Simply overcast days give really brilliant, soft light, but we have some options for rainy or snowy days like: • An indoor rain plan (a coffee shop, a museum, an in-home shoot) • We grab some umbrellas and shoot anyway (Pacific Northwest style) I want you to love everything about your photos and your experience working with me, so if reschedule we must, reschedule we shall!

What is there is inclement weather?

I accept checks or cash and will send you information about the best way to make payments along with the contract. The session fees are split into two payments; $600 due with the contract to reserve your date and the final $600 is due on the day of the session.

What are the payment options?

Whenever you’re ready to book your session date, I’ll send you an online contract for you to fill out online. Both the signed contract and payment are due to secure your session date.

What is required to reserve our session?
